Doula services are $700 for planned hospital births, $600 for planned home births (if a mother risks out of home birth or chooses a hopsital setting later the rate will increase to $700). For clients who also choose to take my Hypnobabies® Childbirth Education course I offer a $25 discount as a thank you for making my job and your birthing time easier :)

$300 ($150 for planned cesarean) is due as a retainer with the signed letter of agreement and the remainder is due by your last prenatal visit or 38 weeks, which ever is sooner.

Please don't let finances prevent you from having a doula at your birth. I strongly believe that every woman deserves a doula and am willing to consider alternatives such as bartering or payment plans.

If you'd like assistance with a planned cesarean birth (scheduled at least two weeks in advance of your due date) my rate is $300. We will focus on the unique issues and concerns of cesarean birth as well as work together on a birth plan, if desired, that allows for the most fulfilling birth possible. I can help you explore the options of a family-centered cesarean and how to approach your care provider and the hospital about how they might assist you in making the birth of your child as wonderful as possible. We will also discuss immediate and long-term recovery. I will take pictures to help you document your baby's birth, provide emotional, informational and physical support prior to, during and after the c-section and help with breastfeeding, if desired.

I will also periodically consider low/no cost assistance for single or teen mothers and am glad to barter for services, work out payment plans, or help you find a lower fee doula, if available, as needed. I believe that all women who want a doula should have one and will work with you, to the best of my ability, to make sure that happens.

Hiring Rachel was truly the best thing I did during my pregnancy.  She was incredibly supportive the whole way through.  I had a difficult pregnancy and was terrified of childbirth, but she was there to answer my questions and help me find solutions to any problems I had.  It really meant a lot to me to have someone who cared so much about my well-being especially because I didn’t really feel that way with my doctor.  I had a very long labor lasting 2 days, so having her there to give me information about what was going on as well as encouragement was wonderful.  She really helped me to give it my all and to handle my emotions and she helped my husband deal with what was happening too.  In the end, I had to have a c-section due to a fever and other complications, but again she made it all more bearable.  She even came out to see how I was recovering and again to help me with breastfeeding and to see how I was doing with my new son.   I think every pregnant woman needs a doula for the individualized support that you just can’t get from your doctor or the medical staff.  She is the one to hire and I would definitely recommend her to anyone I know.
